Embassy legalisation is the step where the diplomatic mission of the destination country confirms the seal and signature of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is commonly required for Middle Eastern countries such as the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, South-East Asian countries such as Vietnam and Thailand, and several African and Latin American states – and often for commercial documents such as certificates of origin, invoices and export papers.
Most foreign embassies in Korea are in Seoul, and each has its own submission days, hours, fees and appointment rules, so doing it yourself often means several visits. We prepare the documents, submit and collect them at the embassy and deliver them anywhere in Korea or abroad.

Frequently asked questions
Is MOFA consular confirmation always required first?
Most embassies only legalise documents that already carry the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmation. We check the required sequence for each country.
Can company documents be legalised?
Yes. Business registrations, corporate registry extracts, articles of incorporation, powers of attorney and certificates of origin can be notarised, confirmed by MOFA and then legalised by the embassy.
