A translation or certified copy is needed to exchange a Korean licence for a foreign one – or a foreign licence for a Korean one.
For use abroad a driving licence typically goes through (1) issuance (in English where available), (2) apostille or consular legalisation and (3) translation into the destination language with notarisation. The order and requirements differ by country and authority – we check them so you pay only for what is needed.

Does my driving licence need an apostille?
If the destination is an Apostille Convention member, yes; otherwise consular and embassy legalisation are required. Whether the original, the translation or both need it depends on the receiving office – we advise in advance.
